Ayodhya on fast track to become UP's first solar city
Efforts are on to transform Ayodhya into Uttar Pradesh's first 'solar city' ahead of consecration ceremony of the Ram temple, anticipated to take place in January 2024.

Officials said that the Uttar Pradesh new and renewable energy department (UPNEDA) is leading the initiative to transform the temple town into state's premier 'solar city'.

According to sources, CM Yogi Adityanath is actively overseeing the progress of the ongoing efforts.

"Ayodhya is the capital of Suryavansh. So, here, electricity will come not from other sources but from renewable solar energy", said the CM.
Consecration ceremony of temple in Jan
PM Modi and about 10k dignitaries from across the country are expected to attend the consecration ceremony of Ram Temple, an official said.
