CM congratulates Padma award recipients from the state
Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the eminent personalities who received the Padma awards on Monday.
Through a post on his social media account ‘X’, the Chief Minister also congratulated violinist N. Rajam, who was conferred with the Padma Vibhushan, and the family members of late film actor Dharmendra.
The CM also congratulated renowned researcher and dedicated Ayurveda practitioner Dr Kewal Krishna Thakral for being honoured with the ‘Padma Shri’ in the field of medicine.
CM Yogi wrote, “Your six decades of dedicated work, development of revolutionary techniques like ‘Karn Vedhan’ for bronchial asthma treatment, and research work that gave global recognition to ancient Indian medical systems are invaluable assets for humanity.”
CM Yogi said that it is a matter of great pride that Uttar Pradesh’s renowned kala-azar expert Prof Shyam Sundar has been honoured with the ‘Padma Shri’.
He wrote, “By developing the first effective oral medicine for kala-azar treatment and rapid diagnostic testing, you have made a historic contribution to medical research and human service.”
The CM also congratulated Dr Ashok Kumar Singh for being conferred with the ‘Padma Shri’ for outstanding contribution in agricultural science and senior physician Prof (Dr) Rajendra Prasad for being honoured with the ‘Padma Shri’ for remarkable work in the field of medicine.
The CM also congratulated Prof Buddha Rashmi Mani for being conferred with the ‘Padma Shri’ for remarkable contribution in the field of Indian archaeology and preservation of cultural heritage.
The CM also extended best wishes to Uttar Pradesh’s Paralympic gold medallist and the youngest para high jump athlete to win consecutive Paralympic medals, Praveen Kumar, for receiving the ‘Padma Shri’.
