CM: Oppn spreading rumours, trying to weaken institutions
Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath lashed out at the Opposition on Saturday, saying that those who lost the trust of the people and were shown the door by them were spreading rumours and anarchy, as they saw no other way of competing with BJP.
Speaking at the Aathman Bhandara for late Mahant Peer Ganesh Nath Ji at Baba Mukut Nath Math in Haryana's Saungal village, the CM said that work on temples like Kashi Vishwanath, Mahalok and Kedarpuri took place under govts that were concerned about the Sanatan faith. Anti-Sanatan govts would only indulge in appeasement, he said, using Kashmir and Naxalism as examples of situations brought about by anti-Sanatan govts.
"We must work strongly towards building ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat', because if the country is safe then Sanatan is safe, and if Sanatan is safe then the country will be safe. Every Sanatan follower wanted the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, because Ram is the symbol of Sanatan and the pillar of India. When Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, the initiative to build a grand temple was fulfilled," the CM said.
He said Opposition parties have lost trust in India's constitutional institutions, because of which they were expressing distrust in the Lok Sabha Speaker, the judiciary and the Election Commission of India. He said that if they won, then they called it their achievement, but if they lost an election, they pointed fingers at constitutional institutions. The public will not accept those who are working to weaken India through anti-Sanatan conduct, the CM warned.
Referring to the prevailing global situation, Yogi said the war in West Asia will cause economic chaos in the world, but India, "through the hard work of farmers and under the guidance of the nation's illustrious leadership, is marching ahead on the path of development with its head held high".
However, he added, one must also pay attention to shortcomings, as the enemy is always out to exploit such weaknesses. "Pakistan is attempting to increase the drug menace in India as part of its mischief. We must make the youth and society aware, and run campaigns against drugs. Drug peddlers are enemies of the country," he said.
Speaking about the event he attended, the CM highlighted the role of Shernath Ji Maharaj in organising the event and expressed gratitude to Guru Mahant Ganesh Nath. He said that after several decades, such a massive gathering of seers, Yogeshwars and devotees took place in Saungal, and it proved that the flag of Sanatan would always fly high in the company of seers.
He said that Punjab and Haryana is a land of valour and devotion, with a long tradition of Siddha saints and Yogeshwars. This tradition, he said, now allowed foreign invaders to easily enter India. He also highlighted the importance of religious places, saying that they were not just places for worship, but they are also centres of national consciousness. "Every person should have the freedom to express their faith without discrimination. When caste, mutual differences and the evil tendency of pulling each other down were prevailing, the country became weak. Foreign invaders destroyed religious places and violated the honour of women. Today the country is independent. We all should feel proud of the new India. India is moving towards becoming the world's biggest power," the CM said.
