Eidgah opens doors for women to offer Tarawih on its premises

Lucknow: After opening doors for women to participate in special prayers offered on Eid and Eid-ul-Zuha, the Aishbagh Eidgah will now for the first time allow women to offer Tarawih Namaz during the forthcoming holy month of Ramzan.
Tarawih namaz is one of the most special prayers for Muslims which involves reading long portions of the Quran as well as performing many rakahs (cycles of movement involved in Islamic prayer).
“A part of the Eidgah will be reserved for women for performing Tarawih namaz during Ramzan this year,” said Imam Eidgah Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahli on Monday.
