First robotic surgery for ovarian tumour at KGMU
Lucknow: Department of Gynaecological Oncology at King George’s Medical University performed its first robotic surgery on a 25-year-old woman with a 10x10 cm ovarian tumour, marking a step forward in advanced surgical care at the institute. The procedure was led by Prof Nisha Singh, head of the department.
The surgery was carried out at Shatabdi SSI Mantra OT with support of Dr Tarini Sonwani, Dr Astha Chauhan, anaesthetist Dr Deepali and the nursing team.
