Gen Z learning skill-based courses to meet real world demands

Lucknow: Gen Z is combining traditional degrees with parallel online skill-based courses to enhance career prospects.

Moving beyond single-discipline programs, students are opting for innovative combinations such as history with data analytics, political science with public policy and English literature with digital content creation.

At the same time, they are actively enrolling in online courses alongside their university studies, using platforms like Coursera, Udemy, LinkedIn Learning and many online courses to gain industry-relevant skills in areas like artificial intelligence, digital marketing, coding and data science.

Science and commerce students are also embracing modern blends such as physics with renewable energy, mathematics with AI and machine learning and commerce with e-commerce and supply chain management. Creative and professional fields are evolving with combinations like media studies with animation and VFX, psychology with neuroscience and law with cyber law.
