LUCKNOW: When Vatsala Katiyar’s name is called out for accepting medals during King George's Medical University (KGMU) convocation ceremony, she might have to stay there for a while.
The girl has secured 19 awards and certificates including the most prestigious “Chancellor” and “Hewett” medals. The “University Honours Medal”, given to an MBBS student for obtaining highest number of honours and certificates in the entire MBBS period, is also in her name.

The university released list of awardees for the 2015 convocation ceremony here on Wednesday. The list, which was clearly dominated by the girls, saw only two boys in the top ten.
A look at the top 25 confirmed the dominance of girls as only 11 slots were bagged by boys. Topper among boys was Anany Gupta who would be getting seven medals and prizes during the convocation.
Other students to be making it to top ten include: Sushantika, Ishrat Siddqui, Deep Shikha Tripathi, Sonam Khokhar, Shikha Gautam, Dr Swati Verma, Dr Saurabh Kumar Sinha and Dr Tarishi Nemani.
The others positions went to Dr Pradyot Tiwari, Dr Amit Kumar Srivastava, Dr Brijesh P Singh, Dr Mukesh Shukla, Dr Areesha Alam, Dr Vinod Kumar BM, Dr Pallavi Aarwal, Dr Gunjan, Dr Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Dr Rakesh Kumar Mishra, DR Isha Sajjanhar, Dr Prem Shankar, Dr Rahul Gupta, Dr Neelesh Jain, Dr Nishant Verma and Dr Suveera Clara David.
