“In these turbulent times, I think it is important to have more of such events and congregations,” said the Raja of Mahmoodabad. The event will also bring together poets from religions other than Islam, who will recite original verses on Islam, the Prophet and his family.
“We are trying to get all communities on one platform to talk about Islam in its true form over the perceived one. There will also be the local Shahnai nawaz playing the tunes of Muharram elegies set on melancholic Indian ragas,” shared Rajkumar Mohammad Amir Ahmed Khan (Ali), the elder son of Raja Mahmoodabad, while readying the estate for the grand event.
Acharya Pramod Krishnam, the founder of Shri Kalki foundation and Pitadhishwar of Kalkidham in Sambhal is a religious leader who is considered to be an expert on Islam and Urdu.
