Artistes from six nations, U’khand to stage Ramlila in Ayodhya

Lucknow: Deepotsav 2024 in Ayodhya promises a grand celebration of spirituality and tradition. On Oct 30, Ramkatha Park will host Uttarakhand's Ramlila and artistes from six nations, including Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Indonesia, will showcase the universal impact of the Ramayana. A captivating Hanuman Chalisa dance drama by Preeti Singh, known as ‘Preeti Ke Parindey' and performances by Ranjana Nev and Delhi's Maitreya Pahari will add a spiritual dimension.Ayodhya will also feature traditional dances from across India. Folk artistes such as Shraddha (Lavni from Maharashtra), Shrishtidhar Mahato's Chhau team from Jharkhand and Sanhal Devi's Bihu from Assam will perform on Oct 30. Local artistes from every district in Uttar Pradesh will also perform, making it a truly statewide celebration.Cultural shows will take place from 5 pm to 9 pm on 10 main stages across Ayodhya, including Guptar Ghat, Rama Ghat, Bharatkund, and Ram Katha Park. The event also includes a grand Shobha Yatra, where 11 Ramlila groups will lead a vibrant procession through Ayodhya from Oct 28 to Oct 30.Deepotsav 2024 aims to create a lasting impression with its blend of devotion, rich cultural expression and unity, celebrating Ayodhya as a global centre of spirituality and cultural heritage.
