LUCKNOW: During a routine meeting of the district police, Kaiserbagh police station in the West police district of the state capital was termed as the only police station in the district which had not only lived up to the expectations of senior officials with regard to performance and policing but had even gone beyond.
Senior superintendent of police Anil Kumar Agarwal said that during the crime meeting it was discovered that the percentage of arrest of the wanted accused was a disturbing factor at majority of police stations.
1x1 polls

With police stations like Vikas Nagar and Mahila Thana registering a total of less than 15 per cent arrest of the wanted accused, Kaiserbagh police station set an example with a record 80 per cent arrest.
This apart, on disposal of pending investigations too, majority of police stations had faltered but Kaiserbagh police had managed to maintain its record. The SSP said that a strategy was being chalked out to provide more manpower to the police stations which are understaffed to help take care of the arrests and pending investigations.
At the crime meeting, the issue of rationalising housing facilities for the police personnel in the state capital also figured. The SSP said that in a special drive the police would now make a list of workers at petrol pumps, arms shops, liquor shops, private security agencies and jewellery stores.
