LUCKNOW: One person was killed while two others received injuries when they came under the debris of the building which collapsed just a few metres away from Kandhari Market police outpost at YC Masjid Phoolbagh under Kaiserbagh police station on Thursday night.
The man was identified as Shatrughan Singh, a native of Gonda district and resident of Pattharwali Gali.

Singh had been living with his cousin Shivmangal Singh and was working as a vendor.
According to reports, Shatrughan left his house at around pm. On way, he met Rajkumar, a betel shop owner also at Kandhari Market. While Shatrughan was standing at the betel shop and talking to Rajkumar, Mohd Yasin also joined in the discussion.
While they were talking at around 7.30 pm, house number 107/140 near YC Masjid collapsed with the three coming under the debris. While Rajkumar and Yasin came out from under the debris with some injuries, Shatrughan came under the direct impact.
The area residents immediately informed the nearby outpost which, however, failed to respond to the alert sounded by the residents about the house collapse.
Eyewitnesses said that it was only in the morning that the police actually got the rubble removed and took out the Shatrughan's body. However, the police claimed that there was no delay on their part.
Initially, the police failed establish his identity and kept on searching for his residence. It was only after a few hours of search that Shatrughan's identity could be established.
On the complaint of Rajkumar's brother Nand Kishore, the police lodged an FIR against the landlord of the building Abdul Aziz alias Bhola and contractor Amman in culpable homicide case.
Nearby residents also claimed that even though the building was disputed Abdul Aziz was getting it demolished as he wanted to build a complex in place of the building. However, the claims of the residents could not be established.
