Anil Kumar Singh met Chief Minister
Akhilesh Yadav on Monday. Following the meeting, the family members said they were assured help by the state government, including order to conduct a CBI probe into the murder.
“We met the CM and he assured us the government will order CBI probe into the murder of my husband. The local police including superintendent of police were involved in the murder conspiracy,” slain inspector's wife Aarti alleged.
Singh’s widow also claimed the CM had assured maximum compensation. “We have also demanded a government job,” she said.
Inspector Anil Kumar Singh, who was under suspension was killed in Pratapgarh on November 19 by some persons. IG Law and Order A Satish Ganesh, however, said there was no official communication yet for a CBI probe into the matter from the CM’s office.
