Parks, market places, eating outlets were crowded with residents who had come out to enjoy the cool. Young couples also made the most of the weather and indulged in some romance, going for long drives.

LUDHIANA: The weather took some pleasant turns on Sunday encouraging residents to step out for walks, drives and fun.
The day began on a promising note with the sun letting up its fury and staying behind clouds most part of the morning.
Though it was out and shining brightly as afternoon approached, a dust storm in the evening again cooled the city. Finally a shower at night made the weekend perfect.
According to the meteorological department, Sunday's maximum temperature was 41.6 degrees celsius while the minimum was 27.6 degrees celsius.

Officials informed that the weather would be clear on Monday.

Sneha Gupta, a resident of BRS Nagar said Sunday was not very hot and a cool breeze in the evening made it perfect. ''We were inspired by the weather and went out for a treat at an eating joint,'' she said.
Rohan Kapoor of Model Town said as soon as he felt the weather growing pleasant he called up his friends and went for a drink.
Shaheed Bhagat Singh-resident Shelly said her family also enjoyed the change in weather.
''Even my mother-in-law, who had been staying indoors due to the extreme heat, went out with her friends,'' she added.
