BATHINDA: Former Indian foreign services (IFS) officer Bal Anand on Thursday spoke about 'India’s global goals - Perceptions and Prospects for 2020' at central university of Punjab.
Anand said, “The foreign relations of India are gaining new heights with the formation of Narendra Modi led NDA government. Modi in his first 100 days of governance has taken many initiatives and tough tests calls in the realm of foreign affairs.

The invitations to SAARC heads at the swearing in ceremony of Modi gained a lot of praise around the world”.
He further said formation of deep relations with East Asians counties as well as European Union and Central American countries by Modi through business initiatives will give boost to economy as well as diplomacy.
University chancellor Prof SS Johl on the occasion said, “The economic stability is a primary condition for being safe and secure. China due to its economic reforms and investments throughout the world converted it into major economy of the world. Now if we want the same position we first should remember our duties”.
Acting vice chancellor Prof P Ramarao also spoke.
