Ludhiana: In a distressing case, the Payal police have arrested a 65-year-old man for allegedly raping his 19-year-old granddaughter. The arrest follows a formal complaint lodged by the survivor and her relatives, detailing a pattern of abuse that reportedly spanned several years in a village within the Payal jurisdiction.DSP Payal Karamjit Singh stated that the young woman approached the police with her family members to report that her grandfather had been sexually assaulting her for the past three years. According to the official, the police acted immediately upon receiving the complaint, registering a formal case against the accused and taking him into custody.
