MANGALORE: Belthangady police found the body of Jobi Jeorge (20), resident of Putthetuvadavil Neria village in Belthangady taluk, near the forest at Neria village. Superintendent of police A S Rao said the body bore a gun shot wound injury probably caused by pellets. The incident, police said took place between 4 pm on Friday and 7 pm on Saturday.
Rao said the incident could have taken place when Jobi and his friends, who are now missing had gone hunting with fire arms.
Police have registered a case under murder along with Section 25 of Arms Act in Belthangady police station. Police are on the look out for Jobi's missing friends.
