28-year-old woman dies by suicide after jumping from the sixth floor of a residential building in Maharashtra

Kalyan: A 28-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the sixth floor of a residential building in the Gauripada area in Kalyan.

According to Khadakpada police, the incident occurred on May 14 when the woman was reportedly distressed over her mother’s deteriorating health condition. Her mother recently suffered a brain haemorrhage and was undergoing treatment.

Police said family members were informed that the elderly woman’s condition was critical. Soon after the incident, the woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her dead.

Her mother also passed away a short while later during treatment. Police have registered an accidental death report and are investigating further.
