MUMBAI: Navi Mumbai architect Anurag Garg, an accused in the
murder case of builder Sunil Lahoria, who surrendered before the crime branch on Friday blamed his associate, Suresh Bijlani, saying the murder had been hatched by him and former cop Emmanuel Amolik.
Earlier, Bijlani had told the police it was Garg’s plan to kill Lahoria. Police said that both are trying to mislead investigators by pointing fingers at each other.
“We have ample evidence and witnesses to prove our case. We will soon file a supplementary chargesheet after interrogating Garg,” said Avdhoot Chavan, senior inspector crime branch.
Crime branch sources added that evidence will corroborate the claim that it was a joint criminal conspiracy involving Bijlani, Garg and Amolik.
