Lahoria's son Sandeep alias Sunny had moved a special leave petition challenging the Indore high court's last week order. In the SLP, Sunny had made the Indore HC and Mumbai crime branch party. On Wednesday morning the double bench of Justice BA Chavan and Deepak Mishra stayed Indore HC's order and directed the Mumbai police to arrest him. Sunny who is in Delhi told TOI that Bijlani while obtaining the interim relief had suppressed the facts. Bijlani was unavailable for comment but he had told TOI last week, that he has been framed in the case as in dying declaration, Lahoria did not take his name as Lahoria was so much brutally injured that he could not speak than how he named him. Bijlani sources said is now planning to surrender before the Mumbai crime branch but police said that he is not traceable. Lahoria was shot dead on February 16 outside his Navi Mumbai office, following which shooters Venkatesh Shettiar (35) and Wajid Kureshi (28) and former encounter specialists Emmanuel Amolik were arrested.
Shooter Venkatesh Shettiar's call details show he was in touch with ex-cop Emmanuel Amolik who, in turn, was in contact with Bijlani & architect Anuragh
Garg was the common architect of all five accused builders-Suresh Bijlani, Bhupesh Gupta, S P Agarwal, Sumit Bacchewar and Vijay Gagra-who had crossed swords with Lahoria over alleged illegalities in various projects in Navi Mumbai. While Bacchewar and Gupta have been arrested, the others are not traceable.
