Children’s Film Society presents summer bonanza of children’s films

Mumbai: Children’s Film Society of India (CFSI) is organizing a 4 day Summer Bonanza of Children’s films in Mumbai from 23rd -26th April 2016. Some of the acclaimed films produced by the CFSI will be screened at the state-of-the-art screening theatres at Films Division Complex on Pedder Road, Mumbai. A similar three day event will also be held in Delhi, where the films will be screened at the Siri Fort auditorium.
Speaking about the initiative of the CFSI, Information & Broadcasting Secretary, Mr.

Sunil Arora said “CFSI has been producing landmark children’s films over the past 60 years and some of them have national and international awards. Summer bonanza is an event aimed at engaging children with entertaining and educative content”.
CFSI will screen some of its most popular films like ‘Gattu’ directed by Rajan Khosla, ‘Krish, Trish & Batliboy’ the story of a cat, monkey and a donkey, Shilpa Ranade’s animation film ‘Gopi Gawaiya, Bagha Bajaiya’based on the characters of Gopi and Bagha created by globally acclaimed director Satyajit Ray, ‘Pappu Ki Pagdandi’ the 2014 film which won accolades at the Toronto and Cairo Film Festivals, ‘Kaphal (Wildberries)’ – the National Film Award winner for Best Children’s Film 2014, Mizo feature film ‘Kima’s Lode’ among others.
