MUMBAI: Four unidentified persons kidnapped the 11-year-old son of a police constable on Wednesday morning from Gandhi Chowk near Naigaon police colony.
The boy, however, managed to flee from his abductors. The police said the victim, Sushant, a Class VI student, was playing near Mahatma Phule market when he was abducted.

His father Shankar Jadhav is a constable posted at the local arms unit at Naigaon. Sushant told the police that an unknown person approached him and said his friend was calling him.
"When I went near a Maruti van (MH-01 2489), one of them pulled me into the car," he said. "I asked them where they were taking me but they didn't reply.
They stopped near Wadala and two of them got out to make calls. Two others went to bring vada-pav. I opened the door and fled," Sushant said.
The boy met constable Mahesh Mohite of Wadala police station and narrated the incident. Mohite escorted him back home.
