Deol shows Sunny side up of being an 'Indian'

mumbai: one struggles to match the raj shekhar azad thundering on screen, "i am an indian," with the sunny deol in real life. the reel passion of the protagonist of indian, deol's family production coming up for release, transforms into a quiet friendliness in real life. although the biceps and triceps are omnipresent, cinema's macho man is actually a shy guy asking you to watch his latest patriotic flick.but deol makes up for his lack of marketing savvy with a kind of sincere openness. "it is high time we got patriotic. we should not do something now that we will later be ashamed of," he said at a press conference held at the taj to commemorate the launch of the film, which has already been given to distributors in calcutta in view of the festive fervour of durga puja. indiatimes (times internet limited) has tied up with deol's vijeta films production, and is handling online promotion and other publicity for the film, which is a remake of the tamil hit vallarsu starring vijaykant. the movie deals with a policeman's battle against terrorism and stars shilpa shetty, raj babbar, danny dengzongpa, shakti kapoor, malaika arora and sophia haque, apart from sunny. the music of the film, which is already getting good reviews, is made by anand raj anand and the lyrics are by anand bakshi. at the press meet, deol also spoke about another upcoming home production gandhi and bhagat singh. he denied that he was being typecast in patriotic films, but was stumped when complimented on his improved dancing skills.
