Maharashtra MLA Nawab Malik's son-in-law critically injured in car accident in Mumbai's Kurla

MUMBAI: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik's son-in-law, Sameer Khan, who was earlier arrested in a drug case, was injured when his own SUV driver lost control and crashed into him while he was waiting with his daughter in Kurla, Central Mumbai, on Tuesday. Sameer Khan, who has received serious multiple injuries, is in the ICU and is critical at Criticare Hospital.Prima facie, police said that Sameer was waiting for his car when his driver, Abdul Ansari, accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake and rammed into Khan. Khan was pinned between the Thar jeep and the wall. Vinobha Bhave Police have taken the driver into custody.
