The Covishield second dose will also be administered to healthcare workers and frontline workers.
Those travelling from Mumbai to foreign countries for jobs, education or participating in the Tokyo Olympics can take the Covishield vaccine. BMC stated that the second dose will be given only if citizens have completed 28 days post first dose. They will need to carry the necessary documents like admission confirmation letters and I-20 or DS-160 forms for foreign visas. Also, on-spot registration will be done on Friday.

For any beneficiaries above 45 years of age, Covishield vaccine will be provided at drive-in centres in the city including Willingdon Sports Club and Cooperage Garden among others.
As per the BMC list, the first and second doses of Covaxin will be administered on Friday. Those coming for their second dose, need to carry the certificate of the first dose to the vaccination centres. BMC stated that 50 per cent of doses will be given to people with online appointments, and 50 per cent is for on-spot registration.

It may be noted that BMC said it will begin home vaccination of bed-ridden people in the city against coronavirus on an experimental basis from July 30. These citizens will be administered Covaxin doses as per the directives of the expert committee and the vaccination process will be carried out in the presence of experts, wherein all necessary precautions will be undertaken, it said.
