Ajaz Khan arrested

Ajaz Khan, who was detained at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday by the Narcotics Control Bureau, was arrested on Wednesday morning owing to his connection with infamous drug peddler Shadab Batata. The actor, who said that no drugs were found at his residence, will be produced in court today. Dombivli shopkeepers booked

Over 100 shopkeepers in Dombivli have been booked by the police for taking to the streets to protest against the newly-imposed restrictions by the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC). An FIR has been registered against them for flouting COVID-19 norms. On Saturday, hundreds of shopkeepers had protested against the civic body outside the KDMC office in Dombivli East and even organised a 'rasta roko' campaign. They raised slogans against the authorities and demanded a rollback of restrictions imposed in the twin towns against the running of non-essential shops.
