NIA: Vaze in CCTV footage
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday informed that the man, who was spotted in the CCTV footage from outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani's residence on the day the explosives-laden SUV was parked, was Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vaze. While the man was earlier suspected to have been wearing a PPE kit, the NIA said that it was, in fact, an oversized kurta-pajama that the cop had used to mask his body language. (File photo)
Javadekar slams Maharashtra
Union Minister Prakash Javdekar on Wednesday slammed the Maharashtra government amid demand for more COVID-19 vaccine doses. He claimed that 56 percent of the vaccines provided to the state remain unused. "Maharashtra government had only used 23 lakh vaccines out of the total 54 lakh vaccines sent to the state, till 12th March. 56% of vaccines remained unused. Bikes catch fire in Thane
Today at around 3:20 am, four two-wheelers parked in Wagle Estate, Thane caught fire. The incident took place near Jyotiling society in Ratan Bhai compound, Shivaji Nagar. Fire Brigade officials reached on site with one fire engine & 1 QRV and brought the situation under control. No injuries or casualties have been reported.
