The initiative was aimed at raising awareness of the disease and providing financial support to cancer patients.
A total of seven teams were part of the game and approximately 80 players participated. "Along with the game we wanted to create awareness on how to prevent cancer by changing small daily habits. A few more initiatives need to be taken by the govt in disease control," said one participant.
One society member Rupesh Raut who lost his mother to cancer, said the standardised cost of pet scan, biopsy, mammography across India will help check the disease. "A regular follow up by Mediclaim companies for the yearly health check up, without which they cannot renew their insurance policy, free screening camps in every locality, and special clinics will help," he said.
