Mumbai traffic update: Parking curbs imposed in Bhandup-Mulund belt to ease congestion

MUMBAI: Traffic Police have issued parking restrictions in Bhandup-Mulund belt to reduce congestion."Jungle Mangal Road, from Khot Gully to Shivaji Lake, in the Bhandup-Mulund belt is an internal road. Local residents and office employees park their vehicles on both sides of the road. If it is declared as an Odd-Even Parking zone, traffic congestion can be reduced and vehicular flow can be smooth," said a statement issued by the traffic police.Parking will be allowed on the left side of Jungle Mangal Road, from Shivaji Lake to Khot Gully, on even dates of every month. Parking will be allowed on the right side on odd dates. Parking of all types of heavy vehicles is also prohibited.These parking restrictions will remain in force from May 12 to Aug 11.
