Navi Mumbai: Cidco emergency operations centre to operate 24x7 for monsoon complaints from June 1
Navi Mumbai: The Cidco emergency operations centre is set to be activated from June 1 and will remain operational 24x7 until Sept 30 to register and address monsoon-related complaints in areas under its jurisdiction.
Cidco’s chief vigilance officer, Suresh Mengade, reviewed the readiness and overall activities that are being carried out through this centre. All nodal officers were instructed to ensure timely and speedy resolution of citizens’ grievances, said Mengade.
The centre, situated on the ground floor of Cidco Bhavan, CBD Belapur, is to be functional on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays along with working days.
Through this centre, employees from engineering, health, fire brigade, security, garden and other departments will remain in contact during emergency situations. Issues include collapsing of trees and pruning of branches causing hurdles for vehicular movement, fixing lids of open drains on roads, floods and other flood-related scenarios.
