Mayor hits streets

Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar on Wednesday travelled in a local train to spread awareness about the use of face masks among citizens in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases in the city. Before boarding the train at Byculla station on the Central Railway route, Pednekar looked around the station and caught people flouting the COVID-19 protocols. Parents protest at Azad Maidan

Parents from schools across MMR on Wednesday staged a protest at the Azad Maidan demanding 50 per cent reduction in tuition fees, a 100 per cent waiver of term fees collected twice a year and ensuring that access to online classes continues even in case of non-payment of fees. The parents plan to continue their protest until the government meets their demands.

Crocodile near NMMC

An adult crocodile has been seen in the marshy pond area behind the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) head-office building in Belapur for the last two days. Bhosale meets Maha CM

BJP demanded that Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government should publish a ‘white paper’ on the Maratha quota issue. BJP Rajya Sabha MP Udayanraje Bhosale on Wednesday met Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and discussed for half-an-hour on the issue. Bhosale also submitted a memorandum of demands on Maratha quota.
