Power outages continue in parts of Mumbai, citizens inconvenienced
Mumbai: Parts of Mumbai faced power outages for yet another day on Thursday, with residents of Vikhroli East complaining of recurring power cuts. There were complaints from Andheri East on Thursday as well.
An electricity consumer mentioned on X: “Since the power outage, the lights in four buildings in Vikhroli East have been going out 1-2 hours. This has been going on for the past 4-5 days,” said Antara Dasgupta, a resident of Gurukrupa Anantam in Kannamwar Nagar. “It was frustrating facing power cuts for over two hours on Wednesday night and later this afternoon. The outages were unbearable amid the sultry weather of Mumbai.”
Said a consumer from Andheri on social media: “We have been facing power cuts in the Saki Naka area since last night and it is being restored but going off-supply again. Senior citizens, women, children and patients are facing hardships.”
