MUMBAI: Mumbai Police Joint Commissioner, Milind Bharambe, addressed the media on Tuesday in connection to businessman
Raj Kundra's arrest in a pornographic case.
Bharambe said, "Crime Branch Mumbai registered an offense in February on the publishing of porn films. It was found that small artists were lured on the pretext of breaks in web series. They were asked for bold scenes that turned into semi-nude and nude scenes against their wishes."
The
Mumbai Police Crime Branch has also arrested Umesh Kamat who is responsible for looking after the Indian operations of Raj Kundra.
"Content creation and operations of 'Hotshots' app was carried out through Viaan company. During the raid, we found evidence on basis of which we arrested Kundra," said the Mumbai Jt Police Commissioner.

He, however, stated that the police have still not identified if
Shilpa Shetty Kundra (Kundra's wife and Bollywood actress) is actively involved in it. "We have not been able to any find any active role (of Shilpa Shetty) yet. We are investigating. We'll appeal to the victims to come forward and contact the Crime Branch Mumbai. We'll take appropriate action," Bharambe said.
Raj Kundra has been remanded in custody till July 23 on Tuesday for his alleged involvement in creating pornographic content.
