Speeding car knocks down 2 women cops

MUMBAI: A Dadar resident was arrested on Tuesday after he allegedly rammed his car into a two-wheeler, injuring two women constables who were on it. The accused, Akshay Jain (45), was later released on bail.
The incident occurred around 7.50am on in Worli. Constables Rupali Mhatre and Pallavi Bhapkar were on their way to work when a car rammed into their Scooty.“Jain was speeding. His medical examination showed he was not drunk,” said senior inspector (Worli) Dipak Pawar. Mhatre suffered injuries on her head and hands and Bhapkar on her right eye.
