KSET: Panel formed to probe ‘graft’

The Higher Education Department has formed a three-member inquiry committee to investigate allegations of rampant corruption in the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) held between 2019 and 2021. The committee is directed to file a detailed report in a month's time. One of the members of the committee is MP Pratap Simha, who has lodged a complaint with the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the state government. It is alleged that the test is a Rs 300 crore scam. Other members of the committee are Shailaja Vr registrar, Uom and Uom finance officer, Sangeetha Gajanana Bhat.

Snehal Sudhakar Lokhande, deputy secy, higher education dept, Shailaja VR, registrar, UoM, and UoM finance officer Sangeetha Gajanana Bhat are the part of the committee.
