MYSORE: B L Nagendra Prasad has been elected as the president of the Akhila Karnataka Brahmana Mahasabha, Mysore branch.
Prasad is the legal adviser to the Samputa Narasimhaswamy Sri Subramanya Mutt as well as the Dharmadhikari of the Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Sarvajna Peetam.
Following his nomination, Prasad said that the youth are increasingly entering the IT, BT sectors and in a scenario like this, it is important to create awareness among them about religion and social service.
"I have inculcated the values of discipline and punctuality and it is essential for todays youth to learn these as well'', he added.
Apart from education, Prasad is also involved in various other social sectors including conservation of old temples, according to a press release.
