Vehicle theft: 3 held

MYSORE: Based on a tip off, Vijayanagar police arrested three people in connection with vehicle thefts and a chain snatching case, here on Friday. The arrested have been identified as Suban alias Ejaz Pasha (21) of Rajivnagar, Mohammad Tausiff alias A Anwar (21) of Mandi Mohalla and Apsar Pasha alias Ismail Pasha (34) of Kalyangiri. The trio used to steal motorbikes and use them for loots and chain snatching.
With this arrest, Vijayanagar police have solved a chain snatching case reported from KHB Colony, Hotagalli worth Rs 2,35,000 and five vehicle theft cases.The police have taken all the three into custody.
Two-wheelers bearing registration number KA-03-ED-6711 (Hero Honda CBZ), KA-14-J1627 (Yamaha RX 135), KA-01-W-947 (Hero Honda Karizma), KA-03-EL-2412 (Bajaj Pulsar) and KA-09-EM-7986 (Bajaj Pulsar) have been recovered from the accused.
