‘Kamptee Was Waiting For Me’, Says Bawankule, Returns With Promises
Nagpur: BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule made a resounding comeback, winning the Kamptee assembly seat in Maharashtra with a decisive mandate. In a jubilant tone, Bawankule described the victory as a reflection of unwavering trust from the people of Kamptee and the state's endorsement of BJP's vision.
"The 14 crore people of Maharashtra have given us a historic mandate. I dedicate this victory to my BJP workers, the people of Kamptee, and my tireless team," Bawankule said. Emphasising the scale of the BJP's triumph, he highlighted how Nagpur district realigned itself firmly with the party.
Bawankule didn't mince words about the opposition, calling Congress's performance dismal. "Congress state president Nana Patole's narrow win by just 208 votes is a humiliating setback for their leadership," he remarked.
For Bawankule, his return to the Kamptee constituency is deeply personal. "The people of Kamptee have loved me for 35 years. They were waiting for me for the last five years, and now, I am back to serve them with renewed energy," he said. He acknowledged the contributions of outgoing MLA Tekchand Sawarkar. "Sawarkar worked diligently for Kamptee over the last five years, and now, together, we will build on that foundation," he said.
Bawankule revealed ambitious plans to transform Kamptee into a national tourism hub while tackling pressing local issues like pollution. "As soon as the new govt takes oath, a new development phase will begin for Kamptee. We will address every challenge and make this town a national attraction," he assured.
True to his grassroots style, Bawankule pledged to personally visit every village and town in the constituency to thank voters and workers. "The people of Kamptee have given me this responsibility. I will meet each one of them to express my gratitude and take their feedback. I will start my Yatra next week," he said.
