NAGPUR: Participants of the dance workshop ‘Dance Evolution VII’ belonging to all age groups put up an enthusiastic and colourful performance at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, Civil Lines, on Sunday. The programme was the conclusion of the 15-day workshop held by Manch and Dance to Fitness organizations and showcased the dancing talents of the participants.
A range of dancing styles including contemporary, Bollywood etc were presented before the audience by the participants whose age ranged from 5 to 60 years. The event started with a performance ‘Ganesh Vandana’. Ketki Arbat, founder of Manch said, “This is a forum which promotes performing arts with fitness which is society’s need today. Through the workshops and dance programmes we are trying to build confidence in citizens and promote dancing and fitness”.
The atmosphere in the hall was enthusiastic as relatives and friends of the participants had come to support and encourage them. Pawan Mangoli, the choreographer of the programme and the trainer of the participants performed on the number ‘Jay Bajrangi’ with Sayli Chaudhari, Swarupa Pahade, Yamnini Rathore, Harsh Mahalley and other participants.
Over all 19 dance performances were staged during the programme. Dance performances choreographed on Bollywood numbers including ‘Main tera boyfriend tu meri girlfriend’, ‘Aisi Dhakad hai’ and ‘Tamma Tamma loge’ were especially enjoyed by the audience.
Ankush Deshpande who had come to cheer his fiance said, “I came here to watch my fiance perform. All the performers are putting up a great show with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. I am enjoying the show very much.”
The next batch of the workshop will start from June 21.
