Inferno destroys 2-wheelers at auto showroom on Hingna-Wadi Road

Nagpur: A major fire broke out at the Mascot Honda showroom located on Hingna-Wadi Road at around 8pm on Monday, destroying several two-wheelers and causing losses worth lakhs. No person was injured in the fire. The exact cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained.The fire broke out in the generator room when the staff was present in the showroom. Within minutes, flames engulfed a large part of the showroom and thick smoke billowed over the area.MIDC Fire Brigade personnel rushed to the spot but looking at the intensity of the fire, additional fire tenders were called in from Hingna Nagar Panchayat, Digdoh Nagar Parishad, Nildoh and Trimurti Nagar.After nearly three hours of intensive efforts, firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control at around 11pm, said Ravindra Maraskolhe from Trimurti Nagar fire station. MIDC police also reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the cause of the fire.
