Nagpur: The Land Records Department will hold a Lok Adalat on September 30 to address pending revenue-related appeals and cases. The initiative has been taken as per instructions from revenue minister and guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, with the aim of expediting the resolution of long-pending matters.
The Lok Adalat will focus on appeals, modification cases, Pandan Road (village roads) measurements, and lease allocation issues. It will be held at the office of the District Superintendent Land Records, Nagpur, located on the ground floor of Khanikarma Bhavan at the Collectorate, Civil Lines.
Officials said efforts will be made to settle as many cases as possible to provide relief to citizens who have been waiting for their matters to be resolved. The mechanism is expected to help clear the backlog of cases and reduce delays in the revenue appeals process.
District Superintendent Land Records Abhay Joshi has appealed to citizens with pending appeals or related cases to participate in the Lok Adalat. The Land Records Department is also exploring similar initiatives in the future to address revenue-related disputes in a time-bound and citizen-friendly manner.
