Elect BJP Govt, State Will Have No Dearth of Funds from Centre: Mithun
Nagpur: Bollywood veteran and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty said on Monday that if a BJP-Shiv Sena govt is elected again in Maharashtra, there will be no shortage of funds from the Central govt.
Putting up an impressive show in Hingna, Chakraborty turned up with an injured arm in a bandage to campaign for sitting BJP MLA Sameer Meghe at Zenda Chowk, Rajiv Nagar and Wanadongri. A huge crowd gathered to click photos with their favourite star of yesteryears. Chakraborty didn't disappoint his fans and delivered his famous dialogues from the blockbuster Agnipath.
He also sang a popular number "Ye pyar kabhi kaam nahi karna…" appealing to Nagpurians to keep loving him. "I fractured my arm. Now it is good. I came despite my agony to show my love for Nagpurians," he said.
Appealing to vote for Meghe, he said, "You are living a peaceful life. The current govt is good. It is going towards development. What is the need to change it? It is working for development. In the next five years, you will have to keep hearing, ‘There is no money for development, the Centre is not giving money', if this govt doesn't return to power," he said. He added if you elect the BJP-Shiv Sena govt, then you will not hear this and Nagpur will progress further.
"Voters should come out in large numbers and bless us to serve you once again. Sameer must win. BJP-Shiv Sena is very powerful and we need more saniks like Sameer," he said.
