Music show brings out hidden talent of singers

Nagpur: Melodious songs were presented by singers at a programme titled ‘The chance: New singers hidden talent show season 7’, organized by Harmonic Entertainment at Scientific Society Hall on Saturday.‘Kuchh na kaho’ from the movie ‘1942 — A Love Story’ was presented by Vijay Nimje, followed by a duet ‘Aapke ankhon mein kuchh’ by Bhagyashree Kulkarni and Ramesh Choule. Shailesh Markandewar’s rendition of the 70s hit ‘O mere dil ke chaain’ and Harish Kashyap and Falguni Ninave’s duet ‘Sathiya ye tune kya kiya’ were well-received with the audience giving repeated claps and cheering the singers.Choule and Shaila Kachole presented popular song ‘Ye dil tum binn kahi lagta nahi’ while Shankar Ramteke came up with ‘Tere chehre mein woh jaadu hai’. CY Raipure and Sumitra Thakare sang ‘Dil ki nazar se’, followed by advocate LN Bodade’s ‘Gori tera gaon bada pyara’. A number of the hits like ‘Tere mere beech mein’, ‘Jab koi baat bigad jaye’, ‘Kya khoob lagte ho’, ‘Gore rang pe na itna guman kar’, ‘Mana ho tum’ and ‘Naam goom jayega’ were sung. Yogesh Thaker, a renowned name in music industry, presented ‘Jaa re jaa’ with his Hawaiian guitar. Effective lighting arrangement and screening of videos of various songs added colour to the programme.A draw of lots was taken at the beginning of the programme in which a male and a female were chosen from the audience to present one song each. Shruti Choudhary, Yogesh Thaker and Rajesh Durugkar were the chief guests.The event was anchored by Namrata Agnihotri who shared many interesting facts about the music industry. The accompanying artistes were Manna Daun (base guitar), Manoj Vishwakarma (lead guitar), Sanjay Masand (keyboard), Ulhas Chitmulwar (octopad), Deepak Tambe (tabla) and Raju Gajbhiye (tumba).
