No action against illegal banners: Locals

NAVI MUMBAI: Despite numerous complaints lodged against illegal banners put up to wish BJP leader, Vaibhav Naik on his birthday, NMMC has failed to take any action, city residents said. Senior civic officials said that permissions were sought for only four banners, however, it has been difficult to monitor the streets due to lack of adequate personnel.“The ward officer has to file an FIR against the illegal banners, however, for reasons unknown, no case has been registered yet,” said DCP Subhash Ingale.
