Noida Sector 18 multi-level parking finally here, but you still prefer the road

NOIDA: With the Sector 18 market being clogged by haphazardly parked vehicles, the multi-level car parking facility which was being constructed was touted as a much-needed respite for visitors as well as vendors at the place. But when the parking space was opened on Saturday, the person in-charge told us that only three cars were parked there in the whole day.When we spoke to visitors to the market, their reasons for not using the newly-constructed facility ranged from ignorance to inconvenience. While some said they would make use of the space on their next visit, others said it made no sense for them to enter a multi-level parking facility for a brief visit to the market.
Three cars were parked in whole day
When Noida Times dropped in for a recce on Saturday, only one car was parked at the facility. The two basement floors of the mutli-level parking area can accommodate about 500 cars. Ajay Rana, who was in-charge of the site, said, “We have opened the parking area for the public today. But only three cars were parked here in the whole day, even though people have parked their cars in the lane outside. We were expecting more cars on the first day, but nobody seems to know about this place. The number of cars might increase in the next few days.”
