PATNA: The court of ADJ 9, Patna, B N Singh on Saturday rejected the bail petitions of two accused in connection with the much-publicised case of suicide by an MBA student, Arya (21), at her flat in Laxmi Apartment in Munnachak locality under Patrakarnagar police station on November 25, 2010.
Peeved at her regular physical and mental torture by some of her friends, Arya had committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan of her flat.
She was doing her MBA from Kamraj University, Madurai. Arya had left a suicide note in which she had mentioned about her mental and sexual exploitation by her freinds. She had mentioned the names of Praveen Kumar, Pushkar, Harsh Ranjan and Shitanshu Raja in this regard.
DSP, speedy trial, Patna, C S Vidyarthi said that the bail petitions of Jaishankar alias Pushkar and Praveen Kumar was rejected by the court. He said the court had already rejected the bail petition of Harsh Ranjan. There were four accused in the case - Jaishankar alias Pushkar, Harsh Ranjan, Praveen Kumar and Vineet. Vidyarthi said the case had been transferred to the court of ADJ 4 for trial.
