Buxar: Buxar Lok Sabha MP Sudhakar Singh expressed serious concern over the suspension of treatment for Bihar patients under the Ayushman Bharat scheme at the BHU Trauma Centre in Varanasi. On Friday, he wrote to CM
Nitish Kumar seeking his immediate intervention.
The MP said the Bihar govt has pending dues of around Rs8 crore to the BHU Trauma Centre. Due to non-payment, pharmaceutical companies have reportedly stopped supplying medicines, disrupting treatment. He termed the situation as administrative negligence.

Singh pointed out that nearly 40% of patients treated at the BHU Trauma Centre are from Bihar, many of them from his parliamentary constituency. He said the hospital serves as a critical lifeline for accident victims and seriously ill patients from the state.
Raising questions over the delay, the MP asked why payments under the Ayushman scheme were not released on time, whether officials ignored the dues, and when accountability would be fixed.
He demanded immediate clearance of pending payments, strict action against responsible officials, a transparent and time-bound payment system and urgent coordination with the Uttar Pradesh govt to restore treatment for Bihar patients.
