Husband kills his wife over dark complexion, hides body in icebox in East Champaran

NOIDA: In the Chatouni area of East Champaran district in Bihar, a woman's life was taken away simply because she had a dark complexion, which her husband disliked. The police are now investigating the entire case. The incident is reported to have occurred in the Badabariyapur area of Chatouni police station. The accused allegedly electrocuted her to death.
Accused works in an ice factory
Shyamlal Sah, a resident of Sangrampur Purandarpur, works in an ice factory in Badabariyarpur.He lived in a rented house with his wife Priyanka. The accusation is that his wife Priyanka Devi (23) had a dark complexion. Because of this, her husband would taunt her daily. Meanwhile, on Monday, the husband allegedly electrocuted Priyanka to death. After that, he was planning to hide the body in an icebox. In the meantime, someone informed the police.

The police arranged for the body to be taken out of the icebox. Shyamlal was taken into custody. After further questioning, he was arrested. Kanchan Bhaskar, the in-charge of the Chatouni police station, explained that the post-mortem of the body was conducted and handed over to the relatives.
The statement of the deceased's father, Sipahi Sah, has been recorded at the station. He also implicated the accused's mother-in-law and father-in-law. The police are conducting a thorough investigation of the entire case.
