IAS reshuffle: Mittal shifted to finance dept
PATNA: The state government on Wednesday shifted principal secretary Rameshwar Singh from finance department and appointed him adviser to the government (good governance) director general of Centre for Good governance Society Bihar. He will be replaced in the finance department by Ravi Mittal, principal secretary, commercial-taxes department. He will hold the additional charge of commercial taxes. Singh had been holding the finance department charge since 2010.
Bhagalpur divisional commissioner Robert L Chongthu has been granted earned leave with effect from June 8 to 27. He is going to Italy for some personal work. Lian Kunga, commissioner, Munger division, will hold additional charge of Bhagalpur. Bihar Rural Livelihood Project director N Vijaylakshmi has been given additional charge of MD, Bihar State Women’s Development Corporation. Four IAS officials (all 2007 batch), including two DMs, have been granted permission to attend the mandatory on-job training (stage-III) at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, from June 1 to July 17.
Senior most additional collector, Madhepura, Abrar Ahmad Kamar will be in charge DM, Madhepura, while Uma Shankar Prasad will be in charge DM, Vaishali. MD, Bihar Rajya Jal Parshad, Shirshat Kapil Ashok will hold additional charge of Patna Municipal Corporation commissioner. Joint secretary, health, Manoj Kumar is also going for training.
