IMA flays cops for lodging FIR against doctor

PATNA: The Bihar branch of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has criticized the Patna police for lodging an FIR under Section 302 against a doctor of a private hospital.
It may be mentioned here that one, Madan Mohan Gupta, had lodged an FIR with the Gandhi Maidan police station alleging the connivance of Dr Udai Kumar, attached to a private nursing home, and principal and employees of Christ Church School at Gandhi Maidan in the mysterious death of his son, Mohit Kumar.
Kumar had sustained injuries after he fell on the school premises on November 19. The school authorities took him to the private nursing home where the attending doctors declared him brought dead after keeping him in the ICU for some time where doctors tried articifial respiration and cardiac massage.
State IMA secretary Dr Ashok Kumar Yadav claimed that doctors at the private nursing home lost no time in attending to the patient and they did the best as per medical ethics.
