mlcs, former mlas and mlcs and district functionaries held in the mla club hall here on saturday, decided to strengthen the party organisation down to the grassroots level and hold a camp at katihar in november in this connection. a three-member committee with former mla azizul haque as its convener was formed to look after the preparations for the proposed organisational camp at katihar.
jd(u) state president ramjivan singh presided over the meeting.the meeting fixed november 30 as the last date for party membership drive and urged party workers and functionaries at all levels to take a special interest in the drive. the issues of terrorism, flood, hunger, police firing, deterioration in the law and order situation, corruption, unemployment etc were discussed at the meeting, which passed several resolutions pertaining to them.the meeting endorsed the nda stand on terrorism and the stand taken by prime minister vajpayee in his address to the nation. the participants observed a two-minute silence in memory of the people killed in the recent terrorist attacks in the usa.
